Win Parks and Recreation seasons 1 to 5 for nominating in the Cult TV Awards 2014Voting has just concluded in the nominations phase of this year’s Cult TV Awards, in what is now our 21st year of presenting our appreciation of the best in fictional television, to the talent behind the shows that we make time for more than others. As an incentive to cast your votes, we had three copies of the season 1-5 Box Set of Parks and Recreation, each with an RRP of £119.99, thanks to Fabulous Films/ Fremantle Media Enterprises, available as an incentive to get your 'thinking caps' on and make your nominations.

And here are the list of winners - Michael O'Connor of Chatham in Kent; Philipa Chapman of Glastonbury, Somerset; and Colin Cooper of March, Cambridgeshire. They will be receiving their prizes soon. The top five nominations in each category from what you have suggested will now be compiled onto the Voting Form, which is the next stage of finding out this year’s eventual winners! For those of you new to this, there are NO premium rate phone lines to call, or even stamps to buy to put your votes on record! With the process being online, and with each form being individually verified to ensure that block votes are discounted, this is the best system going to ensure that we genuinely take the pulse of the UK’s Cult TV appreciators.

We hope you appreciate that the prizes on offer are a small token of our appreciation for the many minutes it can take to cast your nominations. The Voting Form has a total of 28 categories. 13 of these Awards are part of our HALL OF FAME – an ever-expanding pantheon of the most deserving from the last 65 years of television.

The Cult TV Awards have gained an excellent reputation by celebrating the entire history of television, not just the latest 'flavours of the month' – every year you help us continue to live up to this billing.

Let’s tell you about Parks and Recreation - Seasons One, Two, Three, Four and Five. This is a 15 Disc Box Set, including 90 episodes plus bonus features, and will be available on DVD from “0 October 2014. It was named the number one TV show of 2012 by Time magazine, and Season 7 is anticipated to be broadcast early in 2015 on American television.

Starring Amy Poehler, she was the winner of this year’s Golden Globe Best Actress in a TV Comedy Award for her portrayal of Leslie Knope. The iconic Rob Lowe (The West Wing, “Austin Powers”, “Wayne’s World”) and Chris Pratt (“The Lego Movie”, “Guardians of the Galaxy”) provide inimitable support.

Alongside this trio you have lady-killer Tom Haverford (Aziz Ansari); disinterested intern April (Aubrey Plaza); best girl pal Ann (Rashida Jones); shoe-shine extraordinaire Andy (Chris Pratt), their anti-government boss Ron Swanson (Nick Offerman), charismatic city-planner Mark Brendanawicz (Paul Schneider); and state auditors Chris Traeger (Rob Lowe) and Ben Wyatt (Adam Scott).

The list of guest stars is also impressive. American political heavyweights with cameos include Senator John McCain and Vice President Joe Biden. Also on hand are Will Arnett (30 Rock, Arrested Development) as Leslie’s blind date, Emmy winning stand up Louis CK as a local cop, and Will and Grace’s Megan Mullally as Ron Swanson’s manipulative and over sexed ex-wife (incidentally, in real life, Megan is married to Nick Offerman who plays Ron Swanson).

Paul Rudd (“Knocked Up”, “The 40-Year-Old Virgin”, Friends) features as Leslie’s Pawnee City Council opponent and Will Forte (Saturday Night Live) is the resident who passionately argues for the ‘Twilight’ books to be included in the Pawnee time capsule.

DVD Extras to help yourself get really immersed in the show include:

Season 1 - Deleted Scenes, Audio Commentaries, Producers’ Extended Cut of Season Finale Rock Show.

Season 2 - Deleted Scenes, Audio Commentaries, Producer’s Extended Cuts of The Set Up, The Master Plan and Freddy Spaghetti, Pratt on Parks, Mouse Rat Rocks The Wrap Party, Winter Games Promo, Blooper Reel, Season 3 Promo.

Season 3 - Deleted Scenes, Three Extended Episodes, Gag Reel, Li’l Sebastian Tribute.

Season 4 - Four Extended Episodes, Deleted Scenes, Uncensored Gag Reel, Webisodes, Campaign Ads, “Catch Your Dreams” Music Video

Season 5 - Extended Episodes, Deleted Scenes, Gag Reel Uncensored, Webisodes, Promos, and Patton Oswalt’s Sci-Fi Filibuster

Created by Primetime Emmy® Award winners Greg Daniels (The Office (US), King of the Hill, The Simpsons) and Michael Schur (The Office (US), Saturday Night Live), the plot can be boiled down as the tale of an ambitious and hopeful small-town government worker, whose dreams are way bigger than her political talents.

With a running time of 2,258 minutes over 15 DVDs and a ‘15’ certificate, Parks and Recreation – Seasons 1-5 Box Set is out on 20th October 2014 from Fabulous Films/Fremantle Media Enterprises. The RRP is £119.99, or you can get it for less at www.cultvstore.com

Thanks for all your nominations, and look out for the Voting stage – coming soon, along with more prizes up for grabs!
