Join us for CULT TV ON YOUR RADIO - available worldwide on Peterborough FM

Following the last-minute cancellation of last week's show due to technical difficulties at the station, the duo are back to point you in the direction of the TV shows to look out for, the best of the movies at the cinema, and DVD and Blu-ray reviews (both new releases and back catalogue). All to celebrate the best in television that inspires people to do a lot more than just sit and watch!

Amongst tonight's treats are the chance to win one of three sets of both seasons of George Peppard's Banacek on DVD, plus reviews of Network's "Q Planes" release, and news of 24: Live Another Day, NCIS: New Orleans,a brand new version of The Flash, and the end of Psych.

Previously, and as part of the new show, Tom and alexc:g launched the voting in this year's Cult TV Awards, as well as announcing the winners on a special Gala show in January. First held in 1994, this was the year that the Cult TV Awards marked  their 20th anniversary.

alex:g was the founder of Cult TV back in 1983, while at Wolverhampton University, and for 14 years was the Director of the annual Cult TV Festival from 1994 to 2007. These Festivals were four day celebrations of extraordinary fictional television, running from Noon Friday until Noon Monday. Over £50,000 was raised for various good causes during its time, and played host to around 200 celebrity guests from both sides of the camera and both sides of the Atlantic. Interviews, autograph sessions, screenings, TV production workshops, merchandise traders, evening cabarets (featuring live bands and comedians taking a TV-theme to their material) and the Awards Ceremony itself made it the ultimate experience for those who came along to have a fun all-in weekend away.

And now, alex:g in conjunction with Tom Mutiny, also an appreciator of fine fictional TV and film, bring the sensibilities of the Cult TV Festival to a radio audience.
